Hi there, I’m Tom.
I wrote thousands of policies while working for a top insurance company over the past decade but ultimately I represented the company not my policyholders. Becoming The Texas Insurance Broker to represent my policyholders to multiple insurance companies was the right move to better serve my family, friends and other clients who trust me to do what’s best for them right now and as their needs change.
I started the Texas Insurance Broker to better help clients like yourself in a couple ways:
To represent you first and not work on behalf of any particular insurance company. Being an independent agency with access to multiple insurance companies means I find the policy right for your needs instead of representing one insurance company and trying to solve yours and everyone’s insurance problems with that one company’s solution.
To offer you more options year after year as your needs change. Every insurance company has different areas where they’re competitive on rates and areas where they’re not. Maybe right now you’re a single renter with just one vehicle but in a few years you could be a married homeowner with multiple vehicles. Or adding a teen driver or two. Or scaling your company from one employee to 15 employees, adding multiple locations and a fleet of vehicles. The best insurance company for you now might not be the best option later. Our ability to offer multiple options as your needs change over time means you won’t be torn between leaving an agent you’ve built a relationship with to find a better policy and having to shop around for a new reliable agent every few years.
To make sure you’re actually protected. There are a lot of online companies, apps and other resources to help you shop your insurance quickly and transactionally. Insurance should not be shopped quickly and transactionally and yet that’s the way a majority of insureds like yourself and some insurers are moving towards. Insurance is not a utility bill with the same rates for everyone. It’s a large payout that most cannot financially afford on their own and the rates are specifically tailored based on each individual, their situation and claims history. If you’re not having a real consultative conversation with a knowledgeable insurance professional who’s asking thorough underwriting questions then you’re missing out on discounts or possibly committing material misrepresentation and setting yourself up for a denied claim, wasted insurance payments and financial ruin when you click and sign the incorrect information on the insurance application being sent to you for completion.
To have more power improving your experience!!! What are we doing right? What can we do better? I encourage my policyholders to provide feedback and let us know how we can offer a better experience because I have the ability to make it happen.
